Emancipation Spanish

Summary

This same country, in Spanish Ultramar the country beyond sea, in which after some requisite explanation seems to be included every country which being subject to Spain /Spanish rulers/ is not in Spain - in English one might say Ultramaria or Ultramarina mention is made in the opening of this same important Article. (261) But as to the point in question no light am I able to elicit from it.

Primero: Dirimir todas las competencias de las audiencias entre si in todo el territorio espànol, y las audiencias con los tribunales especiales' que existan en la Península é islas adyacentes. En ultramar se dirimirán estas últimas, segun lo determináron las leyes

Firstly, to settle the question of competence as between Audiencia and Audiencia throughout the Spanish territory" (beyond sea I presume as well as in Spain) and as between Audiencia on the one part and on the other part these tribunals of special jurisdiction which have place in the Peninsula and the adjacent islands. Beyond sea (in Ultamarian) these last shall be settled as the laws shall determine. These last shall be settled i.e. the question of competency as between the Audiencias on the one part and the tribunals of special jurisdiction on the other
