Fallacies 1 Generalia
Ch. 1.
3
. 2. Fallacies classed
In those /such/ instances in which, after an explanation has been given of the natire of the fallacy, any thing remains that can contribute to the exposure of it, observations under the head of exposure are accordingly given.
But in many instances, where in addition to the indiciation given of /imtimationb afforded by/ the general term fallacy had been simply /merely/ explained, what appears sufficiently evident is that from any thing that can be added for the purpose of exposure the inefficiency of it in the character of a rational argument can not be placed n any clearer or stronger ground. In these cases the head of exposure is omitted, and in lieu of it examples are given of classes of cases in which the fallacy in question has been in use to be employed.
