The sort of transaction to /the designation of/ which the word job is in use to be applied is one in which by the authority of government money or moneys worth is out into the hands of some individual or assemblage of individuals
The intimation it is employed to convey is that in the first concoction /original design/ or at any rate in the progress of the transaction the general interest of the whole community has been sacrificed to the /that/ interest of that particular part.
That transactions to which the appellative may in this sense be applied with justice, have existed and still continue to exist in no small abundance is not to be doubted They /Such transactions/ will continue To a more or less considerable amount transactions of this description will continue to have place and come successively into existence, so long as the manner of conducting business of government shall continue to fall short of perfection in this line.
