In the case of physical appetite when the state of things /in/ which is the immediate source of the pleasure which the desire or appetite has for its object has for a certain length of time had continuance /been in existence/, it ceases to be productive of that effect the pleasure ceases, what is called saturation takes place and the pleasure is at an end. Analogous to this in some sort is the effect that has place in the case of this psychological appetite.
